Where Perry County Recent Arrests Post
The Perry County Sheriff's Office posts jail information through an official iSOMS portal, and its separate views each do a different job. Someone booked within the past day shows up in a timed intake view. A person still confined belongs on the current roster. After release, the released-search control or a written request may be the only route. Several agencies can originate an entry, including Marion Police, Uniontown Police, and the sheriff's office itself. The arresting department field tells you which office created the incident record behind the booking.
The official iSOMS portal is the natural first stop, since it gathers the county jail tools under one menu.
The captured interface shows the official paths without reproducing a collection of booking photographs.
| Official view | Time or custody scope | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Last 24 Hours | Rolling same-day intake view | Check a very recent Perry County booking |
| Last 72 Hours | Rolling multi-day view | Catch an overnight or weekend intake |
| Current Inmates | People shown in current county jail custody | Confirm that a person remains held |
| Search Inmates | Name search with a released control | Narrow a search beyond the visible roster page |
One caution: the timed pages run live queries. They are not permanent archives of Perry County arrests. Start with Arrests Last 24 Hours for same-day steps, then use the Police Blotter for the 72-hour and weekly-report paths.
Was Someone Arrested Last Night?
Check the 24-hour iSOMS view first. Then widen to 72 hours and the current roster. Perry County promises no refresh schedule, holiday hours, or set delay between intake and web display. The time on an entry is the intake time, not when the page updated. If a known arrest has not appeared yet, allow for processing and data sync before drawing conclusions. The Perry County Jail can be reached at (334) 683-6534. Ask whether the person is in custody, and how to request an existing booking record.
Automated alerts answer a different question. The VINELink Custody Check guide covers why Perry jail participation must be confirmed, and why iSOMS stays the first stop for a fresh county booking.
Search the Perry County Jail Roster
The current-inmates page can stretch across several screens of results. Clicking through matters, because the first page alone will miss people. Use the All option or a last-name letter, work the page controls, or open the separate search form. Remember the roster is a current-custody display, not a full arrest index for the county. An older intake date can simply mean someone is still held, or that a hold or other custody circumstance is in play.
| Search control | How it helps |
|---|---|
| All or surname letter | Filters the visible roster alphabetically |
| First and last name | Narrows the separate inmate-search query |
| Released control | Checks records outside the current-custody list when available |
| Page controls | Moves beyond the first roster screen |
The official current roster shows how the filters and booking fields are arranged.
This capture documents the interface itself. The live source displays its own current charge information for each entry.
- Search the complete current list rather than stopping on page one.
- Match the name with age, city, intake time, and arresting agency.
- Read each charge and bond line as entered booking data.
- Use the court record for the case number and final disposition.
Perry County Arrest Sources Compared
Which source fits depends on the custody stage. County iSOMS covers current and recent jail activity. Uniontown publishes selected municipal entries. Marion leans on county tools plus a weekly newspaper report. ADOC handles sentenced state prisoners, not fresh county intake. News reports add context around an arrest event but say nothing about whether a person remains confined today.
| Channel | Photo | Status | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| iSOMS roster and feeds | When supplied | Official | Current and recent Perry County jail data |
| Uniontown PD Recent Arrests | Selected entries | Official city source | Selected municipal publications, with no stated cadence |
| Perry County Herald | Not a standard roster | Independent news | Weekly Marion report and episodic county news |
| ADOC Inmate Search | Offender image | Official state source | Current sentenced state custody |
| JailExchange | Claims access | Unofficial | Secondary navigation clue that may be stale |
The big commercial arrest sites carry no Perry County, Alabama section. A result for some other state's Perry County is no substitute. One JailExchange page for the Perry Jail does exist, but it is unofficial, carries no complete copy of the iSOMS entries, and should never replace an official check.
Does the Perry Sheriff App Show Arrests?
The Perry County Sheriff's Office offers an iPhone and iPad app, but treat it as a public-safety channel rather than a jail feed. Its App Store description highlights news, crime reports, tips, and similar features. It promises no roster, release list, booking feed, or mugshot search. Version 1.1.1, updated April 2, 2024, is the current listing, though features can change over time.
Use the official App Store listing to confirm the developer and read the current description.
For an actual booking, return to iSOMS and the jail phone line. App news and tips cannot tell you whether someone was processed, released, or transferred, and emergencies belong with 911.
Perry County Arrest Bonds on iSOMS
Charge lines on iSOMS can each carry a bond amount, and a zero sometimes appears beside holds or custody labels. The sheriff and iSOMS pages post no county bond schedule. So the number is an entered field, nothing more. It does not explain release eligibility, payment terms, or timing. For anything that matters, confirm the current court order with the jail, the issuing court, or the clerk.
Perry County Recent Arrests by City
Perry County contains just two incorporated municipalities. Marion Recent Arrests walks through the split between Marion Police Department handling and county custody, including the lack of a city-hosted live blotter. Uniontown Recent Arrests covers the city police department's selected photo-bearing arrest page and its separate wanted-person publication. Perry County Jail serves as the booking source for both cities. That said, no county statement guarantees every municipal arrest lands there. Confirm an individual case with the city agency or the jail.
Fields in a Perry County Arrest Record
An online entry is a selected presentation of the jail-management record. It may not show every field on a full booking sheet, and it is not the court's account of the case. Read related fields together before deciding two similar names belong to the same person.
| Field | What the iSOMS entry can show |
|---|---|
| Name, age, race/sex | Identity and descriptive fields used to distinguish records |
| Intake date and time | When the jail recorded intake, not the web publication time |
| City | Locality entered with the custody record |
| Department and officer | Agency and officer associated with the arrest |
| Charges and bond | Accusations and amounts entered at booking |
| Release date | A release field when supplied |
| Booking image | A photo when the interface supplies one |
A requested booking sheet can carry details the public screen never shows. Think warrant numbers, extra identifiers, or notes on when a person was released. The online view is only a summary, so ask the office for the specific record rather than assuming the screen holds the whole agency file.
Perry County Mugshots After an Arrest
iSOMS will show a booking photo whenever one is supplied, yet Perry County publishes no rule promising that every arrest is photographed online or for how long an image stays up. There is no standalone official mugshot search. Uniontown PD does attach photos to selected city entries. Marion offers no comparable official city page, and none of these interfaces should be treated as a gallery. Once a person is sentenced into Alabama state custody, a different system takes over. The Alabama Department of Corrections Inmate Search can display an offender image for a current state prisoner, but it is not a source for Perry County pretrial bookings and does not offer online incarceration history. Federal BOP results likewise provide no booking-photo gallery.
Request a Perry County Arrest Record
The sheriff has posted no dedicated booking-record form, photo fee, records email, or guaranteed turnaround. A focused written request should go to Perry County Sheriff's Office, P.O. Box 157, Marion, AL 36756. The jail sits at 202 Pickens St., and the shared phone number is (334) 683-6534. Call before visiting and ask for the records custodian, since walk-in service is not promised.
- Give the full legal name and approximate intake date or time.
- Identify the arresting agency and charge or warrant number if known.
- Ask for the existing booking sheet and separately ask whether a booking photo is maintained and releasable.
- Request an electronic copy when available and ask about cost before processing.
- If the jail no longer holds it, ask whether the record moved to the circuit clerk or another archive.
Alabama Code §36-12-40 backs the public's right to inspect and copy public writings, subject to legal exceptions. What it does not do is guarantee instant production or an unredacted booking image. Juvenile, investigative, sealed, expunged, and other protected material may be withheld or redacted. Perry County has published neither a sheriff photo price nor a response deadline. Fees quoted by a court or ADOC therefore say nothing about what the jail charges.
Alabama Law on Arrest Record Correction
Alabama Code §41-9-625 covers biometric identifiers, photographs included, inside the state criminal-history system. If a person is released without charge or cleared, the disposition is supposed to reach ALEA within 30 days, and identifying information comes out of that state system. That provision does not wipe every county page, news report, cached result, or private copy. Expungement under Title 15, Chapter 27 works differently: it is court ordered and hinges on the offense and the disposition. ALEA tells petitioners to gather the certified criminal-history material and use the current court petition.
A source-first correction path works well in practice. Obtain the disposition or order first, then contact the original agency. If a private publisher offers a free correction route, use it before asking a search engine to refresh a stale result. Never assume that paying a private service is required, or that it even works.
How Long Perry Arrest Records Remain
No official source publishes an iSOMS retention period or a fixed number of years for Perry County booking photographs. A timed feed rolling off does not mean the government record was destroyed. Alabama Code §§36-22-8 and 36-22-13 govern the sheriff's public prisoner record books and the disposition of filled books. For an older arrest entry, ask the sheriff whether the record remains offline or was transferred to the Perry Circuit Clerk.
Alabama Archives guidance requires local agencies to hold the proper records-disposition authority before destroying public records. The statewide RDA material never supplies a Perry booking-photo retention number. The Alabama Department of Archives and History incarceration collection helps with state correctional history, though it does not guarantee that county intake records or photographs were digitized. A strong archive request names the full person, the approximate booking date, the agency, the record type, and any case or warrant number.
Historic Jail Is Not the Current Arrest Site
A Perry County Commission document authorized a historical-jail restoration project in 2021. That local project has nothing to do with present custody or an arrest-record archive. Current booking research points to Perry County Jail at 202 Pickens St. and the live iSOMS portal. A restored historic building does not mean old booking sheets or photographs are stored inside it.
Perry County Arrest Warrants and Wanted Notices
The same iSOMS system offers an alphabetized warrant interface. The list runs five pages with fields for name, age, issue date, city, warrant number, paper and warrant type, court, charge, bond, and image or document links. No update timestamp appears, and not every code is explained. Treat a warrant listing as a lead worth confirming with the sheriff or the issuing court. The official Perry County warrant interface displays the available filters and record fields.
Check the screen against the sheriff or issuing court, since the public warrant list carries no guaranteed refresh schedule. The sheriff's office maintains no separate "Most Wanted" page. Uniontown PD does run a distinct wanted-persons page with a tip form, a presumption notice, and a clear direction not to apprehend anyone. Never contact or confront a listed person. Use 911 for an emergency and the agency's current non-emergency channel for information.
What Court Records Add After Arrest
After an arrest in Perry County, the booking record only tells part of the story. The Perry Circuit Clerk holds files for seven courts, and Alacourt runs an online docket search with some coverage limits. These court files carry what a jail entry cannot: the case number, upcoming proceedings, filed counts, and the final disposition. A charge can be amended or dismissed. It may end in diversion, a plea, a trial, or a conviction. That follow-up record matters most when a booking card lists a hold, capias, probation matter, or another agency.
Need a court copy? Perry's form asks for the defendant, charge, case number, date of birth, and requester details. Expect roughly seven working days. The listed fees are $25 for 1 to 20 pages, $0.50 per added page, $5 for certification, and $25 each for paper or closed-archive searches. Prices change, so confirm the current form before you pay. Those terms belong to the courts, not to any sheriff booking-photo schedule.
Custody Beyond Perry County Arrests
Custody does not always stay inside Perry County's systems. The ADOC search reaches people currently sentenced to Alabama state prison, and you can query it by AIS number or name. The Alabama Victim Notification System also limits itself to convicted people in ADOC custody; it sends county pretrial questions back to the sheriff. For federal custody from 1982 forward, the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator works by register number or name. ICE detention has its own separate locator for immigration holds.
The official ADOC search interface shows the state-custody fields and its current-only limit at a glance.
The state search only kicks in once a Perry County arrestee has actually been sentenced to ADOC custody. A fresh arrest alone does not mean anyone has entered state prison.
Federal victim notices run through DOJ VNS with a victim identification number and PIN. DHS VINE handles ICE custody on its own track. Neither federal channel replaces iSOMS for a local jail check. If the custody system is unclear, start by identifying the arresting agency and its legal authority. Then search the matching county, state, federal, or immigration source.
